Directorate for the Student Experience

The Directorate for the Student Experience (DSE) was established in January 2011 to facilitate a joined up approach to the delivery of services to students throughout the student lifecycle and to provide leadership to enhance the student experience.

The Directorate is underpinned by a set of core values in support of the University's strategic goals which are intended to drive creation of excellence for every student through partnership.

Through its 650 staff in 6 divisions the DSE offers expertise on activities and services across the student lifecycle, from recruitment and entry to graduation.

The DSE delivers the institutional student experience surveys and ensures the availability and dissemination of data about the student experience. Through research, projects, monitoring and evaluation, the DSE aims to support the ongoing development of student experience strategy and policy.
